It is the DCCRC’s mission to advance, foster, encourage and promote the traditions, culture and social interests of Indigenous people in Dufferin through cultural programs and events, and to seek our own funded space for cultural programs and events. We raise funds through various fundraising events as well as through community Sponsorship. Information on fundraising events is on our Events page. Information on Sponsorship is shown below.

Sponsorship

In order to meet our mission and provide services in our community, we rely on the generosity of individuals and businesses for support.  Without the assistance of community-minded individuals just like you, we wouldn’t be able to serve those in our community each year.

The DCCRC normally hosts a number of events during the year, including the National Indigenous Peoples Day celebration in June, Orange Shirt Day in September, Indigenous teachings in November and the Community Gathering in December.  Because of Covid-19 restrictions many of these events will not be held until further notice.

We hope you will be able to take part in one or more of these initiatives in the future, and experience firsthand the pride we take in supporting truth and reconciliation in Dufferin.

There are four levels of sponsorship:

• Gold $3,000 or more
• Silver $1,500 to $2,999
• Bronze $500 to $1,499
• Friend $100 to $499
